Health & Safety

At DSC Civils subject Health and Safety is our highest priority across the whole of the company.

DSC Civils has a complete health and safety management system in place that meets the required legislative standards.

We pride ourselves in providing safe and secure working environment for all our employees and contractors, and on minimising the risk and disruption to any other parties who may be affected by our activities, whether acting as the Principle Main Contractor or Subcontractor to our many client’s.

Compliance with all current legislation and with our own health and safety management system is monitored throughout our organisation by our team of independent Health & Safety Advisors. DSC has an annual programme of regular site inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance and the improvement of the current procedures.

DSC Civils operate a programme of certified training for the entire work-force to the industry standards, to include the follow disciplines;

  • General Health and Safety Awareness

  • CITB, CSCS Skills Competency Qualification

  • CITB, CPCS Skills Competency Qualifications

  • First Aid at Work

  • Manual Handling

  • Use of Abrasive Wheels

  • Face Fit Testing

  • Confined Space Training

  • Use of CAT & Genny

  • Environmental Awareness

 

All member of the workforce are regularly assessed for skills, knowledge and competence therefore planned training can be provided internally and externally to address any skill gaps and refresher requirements.

DSC openly encourage members of the team who wish to develop competence and further construction and management skills.
